New England matched their longest winning run from the Brady period as they defeated division rivals the Jets 27-14 in professional football

The win increases the New England's advantage at the summit of the AFC East as they improved to nine wins and two defeats, with the New York bottom after dropping to a 2-8 mark

The opposing team had scored first at their home field with QB Justin Fields running in a five-yard touchdown to finish the Jets' first possession

But the home team answered in the second quarter as Henderson rushed for two seven-yard TDs before the ball carrier hauled in a throw from Maye at the back of the end zone midway through the third period to make it 21 to 7

"That was a key occasion for him delivering, and it's been excellent for him to keep earning playing time," Maye commented on the rookie. "He wants to be great."

Fields connected with John Metchie toward the end of the third period to close the gap for the visitors but Andy Borregales booted a two field goals in the fourth quarter as the home side sealed the victory
