The First Game Pass Titles of 2026 Reveal Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Across the gaming landscape, commentators persist in tolling the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. The platform was lately surpassed in sales by a lesser-known competitor. Xbox fan sites are now publishing content on PS5 topics for the first time. 2025 was an era of significant turmoil for the tech giant's gaming arm. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that Xbox still intends to engage players with compelling titles on its key platform.

The Available Now Titles

The two games that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's deserving of attention.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

On Jan. 13, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that refreshes typical Ubisoft design with an intergalactic heist adventure. An additional significant inclusion is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of horror and action."

Compelling Indie Titles

Yet, the less-hyped additions arriving shortly on the service are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that is incredibly fun, drops on Jan. 7th — and you should try it even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the makers of Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Well-Rounded Collection

In summary, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, and they are also not tentpole Microsoft studios games that justify the service by themselves. Yet, this selection are exceptionally strong. The lineup provides a solid mix of older titles you may have skipped and relatively recent releases that didn't get the attention they were due initially — rendering them excellent choices to find a new audience on Game Pass.

You might need to brace yourself to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
